Beautiful screen print by Gilbert Decock. signed, dated and numbered by hand. The work measures 70 x 50 cm and is in very good condition. In the 1950s and 1960s, Gilbert Decock was associated with the constructivist movement. His works are usually made of round shapes and squares and he mainly uses two colors, black and white. This white/black circle-square opposition is similar to the masculine-feminine, day-night, or yin and yang opposition. A work by Gilbert Decock can be seen in the Kunst-Wet station (Brussels metro).
