Beautiful offset print by Bart Deglin - Bart Deglin (1973) is self-taught. He draws his inspiration from the everyday world in which his characters live. The core message of the work undoubtedly revolves around the internalization of feelings: feelings of which it is certainly not clear where they come from, much less where they are going. This gives the work a timelessness, but at the same time also an inner poetry that appears strange. Figures who never dare to look the viewer straight in the face, duos who seem estranged from each other, people who are painted much more from an underlying perspective: this is the world filled with a strange kind of poetry in which Bart Deglin takes us along. Bart Deglin has already exhibited in Hasselt and Brussels, he was selected for the 33rd prize for visual arts in Harelbeke and exhibited for the first time in August 2015 in Svenson Art gallery in Knokke.
