He studied at the Antwerp Academy and settled in Paris from 1968, where he built up an internationally recognized oeuvre. His work is poetic, symbolic and technically refined, with recurring motifs such as trees, birds and human figures. Goezu was also a teacher at the École des Beaux-Arts and often worked on bibliophile editions.
