In this lot three works by Karin Borghouts that are connected: 1) object: Room of perception: 3D construction, "puzzle" or miniature museum simulates the effect of a 35mm lens with a 'trompe-l'oeil' on the back. The photos in this 'Museum to scale' were taken in museums and zoos and depict the theme 'to show or not to show'. The photo on the left shows the packed Rubens paintings during the renovation of the KMSK. 2) hand signed and numbered edition: The photo on the right in the 3-D construction is a separate edition numbered 5/75 and hand signed (verso). 59x50 cm. 3) hand-signed edition: The photo on the left in the 3-D construction is a separate edition, hand-signed (verso). 59x50 cm. 4) Bulky museum book to scale 1/7 (see last 2 photos) in which this work by Karin Borghouts was included. 9789053253625, 160pp, 30x42cm, Nl-Fra-Eng. Karin Borghouts (1959) is an art and documentary photographer. She mainly photographs places; architectural spaces, interiors, city views, museums and buildings. Her work positions itself between photography and visual art and is rich in references to painting. Karin Borghouts has more than 50 group and solo exhibitions at home and abroad. Her highly sophisticated photos can be found in the collections of the Fotomuseum and the MAS in Antwerp, among others. Given the different shapes, this must be sent in 2 packages.
