Mixed media: watercolor and pencil on paper. Signed in pencil 'M.C.G. Borremans' and with annotation 'to Sint Jan' and numbered 5/10. Original watercolor of St. John's hand, made for curator Jan Hoet, following his exhibition St. John's in Ghent's St. Bavo's Cathedral (June 2012). Borremans used his Magnetics book (Christine Kintisch, Hatje Cantz Verlag, Wien 2012) as a medium. The watercolor was made by the artist on the first page (16x11 cm) of this book. The watercolor is a miniature version of the red hand from Borremans' iconic painting 'Red Hand/ Green Hand' from 2010 (see last photo). Mounted in a professional frame.
