Original and unique etching with watercolor pochoir around it, signed and lettered C/E. Here the introduction of sewer and manhole covers is noticeable in his work. Alechinsky made a 'print-through' of a manhole cover (just as we, as a child, printed a coin on paper with a pencil), around which he continues to play and improvise in his graphic and original works. The pochoir or frame in watercolor makes the work extra interesting and therefore we can speak of a mixed technique. The work is professionally and floatingly framed in a beautiful white frame and with 70% UV-resistant glass. A perfect eye-catcher for any interior. Pierre Alechinsky is a Belgian artist who became a member of the Cobra group (CoBrA= Copenhagen Brussels Amsterdam) in 1949 and was an important representative of Cobra. By the way, he is the only living Cobra artist. His work is in the collection of major museums of modern art around the world.
