The auctioned object is a sculpture entitled 'Kingfisher' (2003), made of material including aluminum, and mounted on a metal construction, protected by a plexiglass cover. The work measures approximately 32 × 118 × 40 cm and was produced in a very limited edition. This sculptural Kingfisher brings Panamarenko's fascination with mechanics, flight and fantasy to life in a poetic three-dimensional form, which evokes references to nature as well as his characteristic aviation imagination.
